Maldives Travel Guide
Visa & Entry
Maldives grants a free 30-day Tourist Visa on Arrival to all nationalities. You must have a confirmed hotel booking and a return flight ticket.
Weather
Tropical year-round (27°C - 30°C). The dry season (Dec-April) is best for clear skies. The wet season (May-Nov) brings short bursts of rain but lower prices.
Food & Culture
Try Mas Huni (tuna salad with coconut) for breakfast. Maldives is a Muslim country, so alcohol is generally restricted to resort islands.
Getting Around
Seaplanes and speedboats are the main transport between islands. Public ferries are cheap but slow. Resorts usually arrange private transfers for guests.
